Born as a single sculpture, the artist has then divided it into distinctly male and female parts, the two polarities which from astral elements become principles regarding psychological existence. The sun is a warrior who radiates power from the disc, and the body armour ensures immutability. Balancing on its axis the moon embraces its reflection, turning it inwards and by elegant movement creates the lunar design that withers the soil of earth. From every possible position one reads the obvious courtship between the two.

Sferico “Family” 139x70x65cm marble sculpture
Sferico, as an impulsive fourteen-year-old, carved his first mould, become cult for its beauty and complex orchestration of forms verging on the classical. The family group is a living cell, love flows like a binding agent amalgamating the bodies in a sublimated harmonic organic. An external force impresses a pronounced inlet which is the heart of the work, “vortex of origin”, and engine of life.

Sferico "Eagle fly" 230cm hight white marble sculpture
Majesty of the bird projected to such a point in the high celestial spheres as to assume angelic aspects. At its feet splintered matter, bringing to mind the hatching from the egg. A contrary interpretation could threaten the sense of life, exposing the precariousness of fragile matter, but the vigour of the upper motions reveals a much vaster dimension.

Sferico "The clock of the universe" 100cm marble sculpture
The complex contraption is the clock of the universe regulated to man, the hoisted sail of history seems to exploit the windy currents to proceed. The egg, sustained by a formal marsupial invention is present to indicate the eternity present in all men.
